After a couple weeks of being sequestered in my house for an extended illness, I felt like a bird out of a cage today when Katie and I decided to head over to Piedmont Park. It was such a lovely day. The park was full of people there for one purpose only: leisure. This is not something you see everyday, people all gathered in one place, to play. Parents playing with their kids, kicking balls around, pushing them on the swings. All kinds of fun was being experienced by all kinds of people. Several were there enjoying their dogs, some were running or playing tennis, others just sitting by the lake. It was the community of mankind playing together. I loved every minute of it. Oh, except for the minutes trying to find toilet paper in the bathroom. (Evidently the community of mankind doesn’t like to clean up after itself in the bathroom during leisure.)
All in all, a wonderful day, ended by a relaxing dinner with Annie Bug close to her school. Caught the image above of Katie just as the sun was setting over the city behind the park. A lovely sight. Here are a few more silhouette images below. Enjoy your Sunday tomorrow.:) Get some rest, and go play!
