And while the rain is still falling, lighting softly on my face and mingling with tears of my own, I look up and I wait. I look to the horizon where the clouds are parting like doors on a hinge, providing an opening for the radiance that can hide no longer. In a moment, all is washed in gold, gleaming and reflecting off the shimmery cloak the rain has left behind.
Hope still prevails.
A few drops still linger, gently falling and smearing light and water together on my lens, brightening my perspective.
Perfect.
