Sean and Clair Lovett

This was a very special wedding for me. I am so grateful to Clair and Sean for allowing me to cover it. Annie has known Clair since the summer before her freshman year at Oglethorpe University. They met at a scholarship weekend, both of them noticing each other from a distance because they were wearing the same colored outfits– royal blue, bright yellow and black. Later that fall Clair ended up becoming one of her three treasured roommates throughout her four years at Oglethorpe. They still love each other dearly. Sean also became part of that close group of friends who walked the journey of college life together at Oglethorpe. I got to know them all and came to value them deeply for loving my daughter so well.

When Clair asked me to photograph her wedding last year she came armed with all the reasons I shouldn’t turn her down. Annie had already informed her that I wasn’t doing weddings anymore. I was putting my efforts into portrait photography and promised myself I wouldn’t take anymore weddings. It didn’t take much convincing. Clair has a winsome, authentic way about her. She is classy and beautiful and a true friend to my daughter. How could I say no? Truthfully, I was so happy to capture their special day. They are wonderful people and I was excited to have a front row seat.

Here is a glimpse of their beautiful day. Theirs was one of the sweetest weddings I have ever attended or photographed. They could not keep from weeping, their joy was so full.
