Did you see the sky last night? On my way to fill the horses’ water buckets in the frigid air, I saw it. I glanced up and the sight of the sky, the stretching canopy of soft clouds and bright stars, stopped me in my tracks. Already fully clad in flannel pjs and fuzzy slippers, I was running out to the barn with Janey my golden doodle at my side. In that moment I knew I had a choice. I could take this gift for granted, as I often do, or I could stop and breath it in letting my spirit respond and worship. Yes, respond. This time I chose the latter, even going as far as running back to the house to get my tripod and camera and lug them back outside. Knees planted in the cold wet soil, I aimed my lens at the sky, breathing out a familiar scripture. ” The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the works of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they display knowledge.” ~Psalm 19. How our God loves us. He covers us in night sky kisses, waiting to see if we will catch them upon our faces and respond. I am falling in love my God more deeply by the day, by the wonder.
My life is changing. I am seeking order in my life. I am seeking more of God. I am asking my heavenly father, who is a God of order and beauty, to help me. He has promised to take hold of my hand and help me. I desire to eat well, exercise more, develop deep friendships, find order in my finances and home, and know my God more intimately than I have ever known him before. I want to pursue my husband in new and creative ways and continue to grow in my love for him. I want more of all God has to offer, which is more than I could ever begin to fathom. But I am seeking to.
If there is something you desire that you have been afraid to ask for or pursue, I encourage you to ask God today for that very thing. Fear no more. He loves you deeply and he is for you. Step out today and ask. If he cares enough to cover us in night sky kisses, how much more must he care for our hearts?
Blessings and love today,
Mary Anne
