Canon 5D Mark ll, 70-200 2.8L, 135 focal length, 8.0 aperture, 1/160 shutter, 100 ISO. Alien B800 in 50in soft box to her right at 1/4 power, Alien B800 to her left in strip bank at 1/8 power.
This is the amazing and lovely Kayla. We were scheduled to do her senior photo shoot today outside in a couple locations. About thirty minutes before she drove up, dark clouds covered the sky. I knew it was a gamble, but I wanted her to come anyway. I thought we could beat the rain and shoot against the moody sky. We tried, but the rain and lightning showed up about 5 minutes into our effort. We decided to do a studio shoot instead.
The shot above is my favorite. It shows her soft, pensive side. Kayla takes light with her everywhere she goes. It just beams from her. She is funny, smart, compassionate, and ridiculously beautiful as you can see here. She was the prom queen this year at Jefferson High. In the fall she will be attending Georgia Tech. A shining star. She is adored by everyone who meets her. This summer she will be traveling to Guatemala to share her light, and the light of the Gospel with the people there. It will be a brighter place there when she leaves.:)
Maybe we can get those outdoor shots soon. I have many more days left in this project! Blessings to you, Kayla.
