- Gazing at Mommy
I am astounded at the goodness of my God every time I get to be present at a birth. It is always a new and wonderful experience. I am humbled and hushed quiet by these moments. So beautiful. God’s presence is tangible at that first breath. The One whose very name sounds like breathing, Yahweh, is there as the little chest rises and falls for the first time. Yahweh. Sometimes soft. Sometimes the most beautiful cry you ever heard.
It was no different for Ruthie Paige.
We waited, and as contractions grew closer together, Mommy and Daddy locked eyes and hearts. Ruthie was coming.
And then in one magic moment she rushed into the world and into their waiting arms. Her cry was music to their ears.
She was born with a set of dimples that would melt any heart.
Congratulations Matthew and Christy. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your miracle.
Psalm 139:13,14 ~”For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

“Ruthie is here”took my breath away. She is beautiful and still smells of heaven I am sure! What a gift.
I feel like I say this with EACH of your sessions, but you CERTAINLY are IN your element in the delivery room! Your nurturing spirit, love and kindness made the experience THAT much better!
I have looked at these images about a million times today and could not even BEGIN to tell you how much they mean to me and my family!
