She was trying to cheer me up. ” Hey mom, why don’t we go shoot a session at magic hour today?” She knows I would rather photograph my kids than do most anything. It has been a tough weekend. One of my horses was very sick and I am weary from spending two days and nights at the barn. “Yes that would be nice!” I answered, beaming at the thought. I haven’t really photographed my kids as much as I wanted to this year. Sometimes I think if I learned photography just so I could capture them well, it would have been worth it. How I love them.
Annie is our sunshine child. It was the name my family often called me. I was and still am Mary Sunshine, although a lot of days I do not feel like shining. She bears this gift as well, and I am grateful for those rays that bring warmth and life to our home when she is there.
Here are a few of my time with my beautiful Annie. She really did cheer my heart.

Each time you photograph one of your (our) children, I am amazed at their beauty. I know them and know their heart is beautiful as well. What a gift to us all!
