Annie and Astro

When Annie came home a couple weeks ago, we had this session in our hearts. We didn’t know if it would work out with her busy schedule or with the weather but on this afternoon everything came together. ” Let’s do it!” she said, surprising me. I went down to the barn to ready Astro, brushing out his tangled mane and tail. When she came out of the house, she looked like a brilliant summer’s day, colorful and flowing in the sunshine. I smiled and strapped my camera around my neck. ” Let’s do it”.

Everything is right in the world when girls and horses are together. It seems they were made for each other. Annie and Astro are a perfect example. We spent the last hours of the day riding and laughing, while I collected every memory I could with my camera.Watching them was like watching freedom glide over the fields and into the sunset.

I knew I held magic in my hands.
