She walks barefooted carrying her little flower, moving forward freely and happily. I don’t think she has a destination in mind. She just wants to go. And she does.
That is what time with my friend Susan’s daughter Izzie is like. She is happy, bubbling with girly giggles that will give you a few of your own. I laughed, I chased, I rested and then I chased again this sweetness they call Izzie. She is everything a little girl should be: beautiful and smart, full of joy and seeking adventure with happy-hearted abandon. I pray she has that always, never letting anyone tell her to slow down, stop trying or be quiet. She is a little girl. Someday she will be an amazing woman.
