It was the highlight of my weekend, maybe my week. A meteor shower beckoned us to spread out quilts in the dewy summer grass and wait. We lay under jeweled skies and giggled together about unimportant things in important moments. My heart filled to the brim with sweet laughter and sacred silence. Then there was the “ooh” and “wow” when we would see the streams of light burning across the velvety black sky. We marveled at our creator God, finding our smallness again.
Bodies squished together on a grandmother’s quilt, we were family with distraction quieted by majesty. I will hold this always. Their voices, their laughter, their warmth. The silence and awe. We were cupped and held by beauty and glory.
And I tried my hand at photographing a star trail.
Happy Monday. May you dance the trails of the stars this week and always.

WOW!! What a delightful picture. Would love to have seen this in person. You blogs continue to amaze me. Thanks again.
After a heavy conversation with my oldest son, your words, your photo, painted God”s majesty, His bigness across my heart. I am lighter now. Aaah…
Praying with you that we will walk in freedom from earthly things…
Hugs,
Marie
