Coming Home

I snapped this image just as we were getting ready to cross the Georgia line on our way home tonight. It was a beautiful welcome home gift to see this colorful sunset over Lake Hartwell. It has been a wonderful week seeing lots of family and friends and having two daughters graduate from their respective colleges. We are so very proud of them. This has been a special time for us. However, I sense transition in the air. The road is brimming with possibilities and unknowns. This is life. Just as we round the corner and think we have arrived, another challenge presents itself. As a mom, I am having to learn more and more to be flexible and ready for what may be next. This is not easy for me, but it is necessary if I am to be happy and content.

I have a lot of wonderful memories from this week to share, but tonight I will rest and count my blessings. This lovely sunset being one of many of them.

I have many more to unwrap tomorrow.
