I realize my last two posts have had fire in them. My men have been burning off the woods and I just cannot resist the beauty that fire and smoke create. Yesterday was Johnny’s 19th birthday. My heart cannot even begin to process this. Where has the time gone? We had a good day, even though his sisters were not home this year. We went to the shooting range together and then came home and burned off some more of the woods. It was a man’s day.
I love that his shirt says “hope hope hope” as he stands in the midst of the fire. God is always speaking, and I find Him though imagery. Here it is, all framed up. Hope in the midst of trials. A beautiful boy turning into a handsome and strong man. How I love this kid.
