I bought these beauties at the grocery store the day after the puppies were born. I was tired and they felt like a happy thought. I was drawn to their brilliant color. Gerber daisies always seem like a good idea to me.
I set them on my table but could not leave them alone there. I kept bringing in different vases and cups that complimented their stunning orange color. The cobalt blue was my favorite. What is it about the mix of blue and orange together? They are the stuff of the perfect sunset. They are the warm sand against the summer ocean. They sugar maple leaves against a clear autumn sky.
Stunning.
God is so kind to create color. He didn’t have to. I think it speaks not only to his creativity but also to his generosity. He loves to give us good gifts — red apples, green grass, brilliant blue skies, chestnut horses, yellow chickens and on and on. And then there are the flavors, the sounds and aromas he has made! He is so amazing. His love is extravagant. He never just gets by, but puts the wow factor in everything he does. The best part? He is God and yet he offers his heart freely to us, his created ones. How blessed are we?
I am grateful tonight for these little gerber daisies, who remind of me of my beautiful Father God.
He is good.

Stunning thought.
Truth! Thank you for your words and remembrances. Color with its source in Light is one of God’s amazingly poignant creations!
Beautiful for a number of reasons. Gerbers are the most beautiful and happy of flowers. I love the many colors they come in! Blue and orange are my family room colors picked off a watercolor print I bought from the Blue Gallery in Jerusalem, depicting the Western wall and blurred images of people’ from all nations approaching it. Also a lover of the sunsets and dawns Abba paints daily, as well as the many beaches I have visited and loved….well, you wrote this one for me. Many thanks. Hug those precious pups for this Texas Nana today. Today I will find out if my second grandchild is a he or a she! May the LORD bless you today and keep you; may He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the LORD turn His face towards you and give you shalom.
