The tulip trees are blooming right now in Georgia. It is a sight to behold if you can find them. They are planted around the Mall of Georgia and Piedmont Park. They add such ethereal beauty to the otherwise grey landscapes of our February.
When I look at them in my images they always make me laugh. They are the drama queens of the flower world, if there is such a thing. Their petals are always swooped dramatically in one direction or the other. I can almost hear them quoting Scarlet O’Hara from Margaret Mitchell’s Gone with the Wind, ” I won’t think about that today. I will think about that tomorrow!” (cue dramatic head toss.).
Am I the only one that personifies the flowers?
My dad used to talk to me about the sweet faces of the pansies. I loved watching him rub his thumb over the velvety petals as he spoke. He loved to garden. He was happiest at the beach and in his garden. In both scenarios his skin was tan and his salt and pepper hair went wild in the wind. I miss my dad. I imagine him tending the gardens in heaven, his bright blue eyes reflecting the azure skies.
Where did you find joy today? What gifts has the Lord given you that made you laugh out loud? The Lord is good.
James 1;17 ~”Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

Love the photo. Pure softness. I find my joy today in just waking up for the first time in two weeks with a bit of spark in me as lots of medicines have kicked in to cure pneumonia. I am so thankful to God for the feeling of rising from bed and walking while breathing! Thank you for the spring beauty
