I laughed out loud as I walked under the stars tonight with my dogs. I had been pouring out my heart to God about the different concerns I had. Then just like that, I felt his joy in my spirit. He was telling me that his grace was sufficient and that he had enough to cover all my concerns. It was like a daddy putting his hands in his pockets and saying “I got this baby girl. Now, go play.”
I sensed his desire was that I enjoy my life. We so often don’t think we can enjoy his gifts. We spend so much time trying to impress him, or trying to earn his affection when we already have his heart. He adores us.
One of my mom’s favorite things about taking me shopping was that I had to wear the things she gave me immediately. I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to get home with them. She would smile and say “now put them on.” And I would. I see God that way.
His grace is so wide and long, high and deep. There is enough in him- enough love, enough money, enough grace, enough comfort, enough of whatever you need. And best of all? He longs to give it to you. It’s amazing.
I pray that you can get just a taste of his all-sufficient goodness tonight. He is enough and he adores you.

Isaiah 30:18 ~”Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!”

So grateful for the Lord’s unfailing and unending grace! Ann Voskamp posted your photos so I checked out your blog. Discovered a beautiful place of amazing photos, honest sharing, and encouragement! Also discovered you might live in Georgia? I have a son at UGA and from your recent post, I want to go for a visit to Athens and stay a little while.
