This morning I awoke to this view out my bedroom window. Forgoing my morning coffee, I grabbed my camera and ran down the back deck steps squishing my toes into the moss at the edge of the woods. This is what I saw. What a gift to a girl who is doing a 365 Project. What a gift to anyone.
The Lord is so good.
Through my wide angle lens it appeared as if the trees were leaning into my direction for the perfect shot. The sun shone through the fog so brightly I half expected either Mr. Darcy or Mr. Tumnus to come walking towards me. It was the stuff of fiction and fairytales.
No deep thoughts here tonight. Just profound gratitude to a God who specializes in extravagant beauty, even in my own backyard.
Psalm 65:8 ~”The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.”
