Katie came to the house this morning. It was a lovely surprise. She sat at the kitchen table with me and we drank coffee in little blue and white cups. She gazed out the window at the dogwood tree blooming and began chatting about making a flower crown. It is as easy for her as breathing. Katie loves to make beautiful things.
When she finished her masterpiece we walked out into the sunlight together. She donned the crown and danced down to the edge of the woods. I saw my little girl again. Katie has always been such a free spirit. She has a way of putting you at ease in her presence. She can make you laugh and simultaneously put you in awe of her beauty. It’s a one-two punch if you are not ready for it. I love that about her.
Once I took a few photos, we headed back inside. She cozied up with a book on the porch and I fed the puppies. She stayed the whole day and it was healing for my heart.
Love you Katie-girl.

She is beautiful like her momma. I so enjoyed talking to her and getting to know her sweet spirit at the church. She is precious.
