Well today was our one week photo session with the puppies. I am so happy to say they are all thriving and doing well. They have all gained about 2 ounces per day and doubled their birth weight today. All of them have been checked out by our vet and all seem to be healthy.
Taking photos of puppies is not for the faint of heart. They are such little wiggle worms. I had to wait until they had full bellies to get images of them while they were still. Some even have a milk mustache in their photos. Time goes by quickly so I am trying to enjoy them while I can. I am already very attached to them. Janey only has seven teats so there are always two waiting their turn to get milk. I try to rotate them every feeding so no one gets left out. I am still shocked she had nine puppies. She is such an amazing mother.
You can’t tell all their markings from these photos- many have white on their chest and feet. Green and yellow collar boys are both solid red. Pink and purple are the girls.
So without delay- here are the babies in the order of their birth.
