As long as I can remember I have been mesmerized by the reflections found in puddles. To me it is a picture of heaven meeting earth- the divine intermingling with the mundane. This one is on my driveway, and I almost always stop and photograph the richness reflected in its borders. If I step in lightly, the sky shudders and ripples around my feet. Who knows what colors I will see next time? I am lost in its otherworldliness.
Can I be like a puddle?
A place where the glory gathers, spills and splashes? A shining place in the midst of the brown and muddy clay? May I reflect his deep goodness – his extravagant beauty?
It is the only place I know where one can bend down to touch the sky.
2 Corinthians 3:18 ~”And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.”
