I found this little lady in the house today and I followed her on her adventures. My favorite photo of her is this one of her on the mirror. She appears to be enamored with her reflection. I love her little hat and furrowed brow. I think she is concerned about the ladybug she sees in the mirror. She reminds me of the ladybug in Eric Carle’s The Grouchy Ladybug who finally learns the concept of gratitude at the end of the story. I read that book to all my babies over and over again.
As I followed little lady on her adventures today I admired the bright color she wears on her back. Her whole persona exudes joy, even with her furrowed eyebrows (which I would have never seen without my macro lens.) She wears her happiness on her wings. My little friend was not grouchy at all.
I am grateful for this guest in my home today. Finding joy in the very small today and focusing my thoughts on God’s goodness.
