This is our beautiful friend Kellie. When she came over to visit tonight I asked her if she would be willing to participate in my 365 project. She kindly agreed. (She didn’t know that I would have her standing outside in the cold with a studio light.)
I wanted to convey the feeling of comfort, with a mug of hot chocolate outside in the freezing cold (brrr!). And although we could see the steam coming from the mug with our eyes, the camera refused to capture it. I think my studio light was just too bright. Anyway, isn’t Kellie adorable? She has the love of Christ in her and it shows.
It’s cold and dreary outside but we are comforted by God’s kindness. We are grateful this night for : homemade pizza on the stove (again), a fire in the fireplace, red flannel pajamas and beautiful friends that come over ( and let me photograph them). Counting gifts reminds us of his love and this brings great comfort. He is always with us. Always.
To my daughter who is far away in Washington D.C. tonight in the middle of a snowstorm- I love you. May the Lord comfort you and take care of you. We miss you.
Isaiah 29:13 ~”Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.”

I love you too momma ❤️ Wish I could combine here and there.
I never comment on things I read BUT I need you to know how much you have helped me.
My oldest son (28) stepped into heaven not long ago and I grieve like only mothers do. I know with certainty that a sovereign God has a high and holy purpose in everything He allows. I do not doubt. But I grieve. Thank you for sharing your heart here. I look so forward to reading each day. Each post is a blessing and for that I have begun to pray for your grieving heart. I appreciate what you do.

Julie,
My heart breaks reading your comment. I am so deeply sorry for your pain. I cannot imagine what you are going through. May the Lord be near and so very tangible to you.
I pray His peace is draped around you as you grieve, miss, remember and heal.
