365 Day 78 Dandelion Rain

Soft in the Rain

I fell in love with these sweet dandelion seedlings soaked in rain. The raindrops are held closely and sweetly deep within the flower, as if they are being gathered like treasure. Each little drop turns light into color and gives it back to all who will gaze upon them. Beauty. I swoon at the glory that God scatters at our feet. He asks, ” Do you see?”  He beckons us to him with beauty. Extravagant beauty everywhere. He shines in the smallest details and in the vast overarching skies. He is God. He is always good.

Do you see?

Psalm 23:6 ~”Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.” ( The Message)

“nothing which we are to perceive in this world equals
the power of your intense fragility: whose texture
compels me with the colour of its countries,
rendering death and forever with each breathing

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands”

~ an excerpt from “somewhere i have never traveled, gladly beyond”  by e.e. cummings

As a countenance is made beautiful by the soul’s shining through it,
so the world is beautiful by the shining through it of God. FRIEDRICH HEINRICH JACOBI

Your photos make me hardly dare to breath, for fear of disturbing such ethereal beauty. Lovely!

It’s hard to imagine that such beauty can exist here on earth. Images like these are ones you’d expect to see in heaven. How I thank God for the gift He has given you, and how I thank Him that He’s made it possible for you to share it with us!
