My friend Kristin is a beautiful dancer. But not just beautiful, as many dancers are. There is power in her movement. She is a worshiper and when she offers her gift to God, you can feel burdens rolls away. The ancient fetters that have bound many for ages begin to quiver when she raises her hands to the heavens.
God is in her dance.
The movement of our bodies in worship is a compelling act. Others can be set free just by observing someone dance. The fluid motion serves to soothe, heal and lift our hearts.
The first time I saw dance used in worship I felt my heart burn within me. I knew I had to be part of it somehow. I was 26 and that is when I took my first ballet class. I told the Lord then that he could have my dance, however he wanted to use it. I later started a dance ministry at my church and that is how I came to know Kristin.
I hope to have many dancers in this 365 Project this year. So if you are a dancer, and you would like to be part of my project please let me know in the comments below.
Here are a few more of lovely Kristin who came and danced in the prickly field today at sunset. Thank you Kristin. I love you my sweet friend.
Psalm 149:3 ~”Let them praise his name in dance; strike up the band and make great music And why? Because God delights in his people.”

Hi, I am a worship dancer and love everything about dance. A dear friend of mine shared this with me and I was touched by the beautiful pictures and loved what you shared. Please include me in your project. I teach homeschooling worship & praise dance classes, we ALL would love to be part of your project! Thank you.
When I watch Kristin dance, and as I gaze at these photos (harmonious dance and nature), I see all the fibres of her being stirred, eloquently in worship, of the One who freed her. And me.
