Canon 5D Mark ll, 70-200 2.8L, 9.0 aperture, 1/5 shutter, tripod and on camera flash in ETTL mode.
After two very busy days covering a busy conference, Katie and I decided to take a creative break in downtown Nashville. Just getting these few shots was so refreshing to my spirit. Even though she is suffering with a bad cold, she was a willing model, and had fun too. We had to keep urging the pedestrians to keep walking by us, as we wanted them in the shot. I slowed my shutter in an effort to blur the crowd, while keeping my camera on a tripod and using a flash to freeze Katie. We did this in about five minutes. We probably could have gotten even more shots if we weren’t so very tired and ready to find a hot bath, some good food, and fluffy pillows.
It is so much fun to put myself out there with strangers and get in the mix trying to capture whatever vision I have in my mind. It really is fun and exhilarating. So far, no one has fussed at me. I just have to think that I would do things like this if someone were paying me to do it. How much more satisfying to do if for my own growth and creativity!
Nashville and YEC was so much fun, although very hard work. The people are amazing. They are like family.
Grateful to be going home to my one true love tomorrow.:)
