Katie and Annie’s going away party was a success in every sense of the word. Friends and family came out to send them off with love, food, laughter, words of encouragement, and prayer. I am so grateful to all who came out to bless them and shower them with love tonight. I managed to take a few photos during the prayer time they had over them, but it was difficult through my tears. I was deeply moved as I sat on the steps and listened to the earnest and heartfelt prayers their friends and grandparents prayed over them, my insides no longer able to hold the floodgates closed. Prayers about health, safety, well-being, relationships yet to be made, and awareness of God’s presence, all spoken with love over my girls. I am grateful for every one of them, and believe them to be the threads that God will use to weave blessings and protection for my girls in this next season. Thank you to all who came out tonight. You blessed this mother’s heart.

I wish I could have been there. Marco Island is wonderful and I have had great weather so far, but my spirit was with you there at the going away party. I am so happy that there were prayers sent up asking for protection and blessings for my girls, Annie and Katie.
