Feeling small? If so, then you are good company. The God of detail delights in the small. You don’t have to look very far to discover this. Yes, the same God who spoke into being the great expanse of the skies, whispered the delicate details of a leaf. Every luminescent cell perfectly placed. I love Him for that.
Ann Voskamp writes in her book One Thousand Gifts, “The joy of the small makes life large”. This resonates deeply within me.
When I stand in the presence of the most Holy God, I know my true size. He becomes greater and I see myself more rightly. Worship puts all into perspective. There is nothing wrong with feeling small, when I am right-sizing myself against a very large God. The burden lifts, and I can worship, unencumbered by pride and false notions that I am in control. Like the leaf above, I find my purpose, and it is very simple. To shine and to glorify. Beautiful.
Luke 12:27 ~ “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”

Great Images . . .
I love the contrast of the blue and green in “intricacy in green”
and the “upside down kingdom” is spectacularly odd.
