Pretty late posting this tonight. Spent most of the evening fretting over Annie’s well-being, as she and her boyfriend, Tyler were stuck on 1-75 for a long time in this storm on their way back from Florida. We were finally able to find them a place to spend the night with the help of Twitter and Facebook. The social media giants and some really good friends came to the rescue when I put out an inquiry to find them a place to stay as it seemed they were not going to make it back to the school. So grateful. Breathing a long and deep sigh of relief.
This storm wasn’t and then it was, all in about 15 minutes. We heard about it all week, but we had no idea what we were in for. I had just put the horses in the barn when I heard the wind begin to howl. I saw a few flakes waft down past the door and within minutes the ground was covered as a blizzard appeared out of nowhere. I took this image of Katie standing in the front yard in front of our spot lights we have on the house. Amazing how fast it came! So lovely.
Grateful for good friends who put Annie and Tyler up tonight. I know they are safe inside and not out on the road looking for shelter. Hope to put our sleds to use tomorrow. 🙂
