Took this of my Katie after a very long day. She was gracious enough to step out into the sunlight for me and shine. Katie loves to dance. Add a warm breeze, some afternoon sun and a silk scarf, and you have magic.
After a long day at the ER trying to find out what is making me so sick, this was a refreshing reminder that some things do not change.
Sometimes I just have to go back to square one, where the sun meets my face, and remember. Remember what, and whom I love. Beautiful light, dancing, the swirl and swish of a beautiful skirt. Katie, always a little girl at heart, bravely taking on vulnerability and moving into joy. The warmth of my husband’s embrace as I soak up his strength and compassion.
My God does not change, and neither does His love for me. Counting the joys, the graces, in my life help me to remember that.
James 1:17 ~”Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
