Canon 5D Mark ll, 100 2.8 macro, 3.5 aperture, 1/200 shutter, 160 ISO. Texture applied in photoshop.
These beauties were another find at my local grocery store this week. I could not resist their ruby-red color. I brought them home, arranged them in one of my favorite bowls on my kitchen table and then promptly forgot about them. Today, as I was processing another photo shoot, I got up and walked into the kitchen from time to time to stretch my legs and nibble from the pantry. These lovelies would catch my eye every time as the light shifted and changed throughout the day. I finally gave in and spent some time photographing them. They radiate a sense of holiday cheer. I just had to share them here. I love this processing too, with the muted colors and textures. It’s a little different for me. Might make a nice fine art print or calendar page in my new calendar I am putting together.
Still trying to keep it simple. I am learning to rest in this final stretch of my blog, although I am hoping to knock a few out of the park before it is over.:)
If you would like one of these pear prints, leave me a comment here on my blog and I will give three away this week. (5×7’s) You don’t have to say anything special. I just like to know you’re out there sometimes. I will pick the winners with a random number generator at the end of the week.
May blessings tumble into your hearts and lives like these richly colored pears. Happy Tuesday!

Ephesians 1:15-18 ~ “I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.”
