365 Project Day 253: I Wish For You …

It’s Sunday, and it’s time to rest. To bless you and help you do that, I have gathered some wishes in my pocket for you.

I wish for you…

A cool place in the shade to rest your body and your mind. (Matthew 11:28 ~ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”)

An out-of-the-way place to escape the crowds and share life with someone you love. (Jeremiah 31:25 ~”I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”)

A beautiful light to help you find your way.  (John 8:12 ~” I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”)

The path of mercy and peace.  (Psalm 18:36 ~”You provide a broad path for my feet,  so that my ankles do not give way.”)

The eyes to see the sacred God who gently and lovingly orchestrates your life. (Psalm 27:5 ~ “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.”)

Ornate and beautiful doors that fall open to you when you knock . (Matthew 7:7 ~”Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.“)

Warmth, life and sunshine  in the tangled places. (Psalm 118:27 ~ “The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us.”)

And beauty. All the beauty your eyes and heart can hold. (Ephesians 3:20 ~”Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us”)

 

It’s Sunday. Get some rest.
